Self Defense Against Unwelcome Guests

I am certain that after the collapse of our infrastructure, there will be hordes of ruthless gangs wandering around in search of whatever they can take. Like any major disaster these groups fully realize that there is no longer a viable law enforcement agency in the area and thus they feel they can do anything they so desire. They may truly be correct in their thinking that no police are roaming the area, however one can pretty much defend what is theirs in an effective manner.

I have outlined a simple method of stopping those unwanted quests coming up your driveway to get you by the use of simple, natural products that may not kill but will certainly incapacitate the intruders.

Few people are aware of it, but the hottest of the hot peppers found in the world is known as the "Bhut Jolokia." On a pepper heat scale this vegetable will rank up around the 1 million mark, so you can be assured that it is hot. In comparison, a true pepper spray will measure about 2 million on the same scale. You must purchase the commercial pepper spray in pressurized cans and then you must be close enough to the person for it to be effective. The pepper seeds which I am talking about can be readily found and you are cautioned to use gloves when handling them or cutting one. Never rub your eyes after touching one of these peppers, as it would be disastrous. You can easily transform the peppers into a useable liquid using nothing more than a coffee filter as a means of obtaining the purified liquid.

The best means for which to use this spray is when defending your road leading to your home. Use a 1/4-inch-wide hose installed along the edge of the pathway to your house with some mist sprayers placed every couple of feet. These sprayers should face outward towards the path the intruders would follow. Run the misters and the associated tubing in such a manner that it covers at least 50 feet of the road length. Carefully hide the tubing and stand at a distance with your hose. For this system to work properly, you will need a certain amount of pressure built-up, perhaps from a small tank which contains some of the pepper liquid itself. Make sure that your hose has a valve installed with a lever on it and make certain your tank is set in a stable position.

Do a daily pressure check on your system to ensure that it functions properly. Next, attach a piece of nylon twine to the lever so that you can stand a fair distance away from the tank, and activate it remotely. Test your system to ensure that in an emergency, you could activate the system from a distance to release the pepper mist. In all reality you may need it to run it for approximately 10 minutes. When properly installed and setup the system will create a wall of spray that will affect the intruder's vision. This system can be used on either a path or as the defense for a home in order to slow down the intruders. This is a cost-effective method for taking care of yourself without the chances of seriously harming anyone.
