Many car enthusiasts are anticipating the arrival of the new 2014 Lincoln MKC. This vehicle is the newest addition to Lincoln, and a crucial player in Ford's desire to rebuild the Lincoln brand with a new line of affordable, attractive offerings. The new SUV design was influenced greatly by the 2013 Ford Escape but brings many unique touches and features.

When designing and testing this vehicle, engineers at Ford and Lincoln sought to combine the luxury characteristic of the Lincoln line with the practical beauty of many of Ford's 2013 vehicles. Built on the same front driving unibody platform as the Escape, it will have similar dimensions as a compact SUV though differ in its clean generous curves. The new offering from Lincoln will feature a stunning panoramic glass roof that almost seamlessly connects the driver's windshield to the sun, sky, and stars and basks passengers in natural light.

The front of the MKC showcases a split-wing grille and dynamic LED head lights to ensure superb nighttime visibility. The twenty inch premium wheels and muscular body styling make a statement on the road. In the rear of the vehicle, a LED tail lamp covers the entire width of the vehicle, commanding the attention and respect of other drivers. A wide-opening lift gate provides ample room for loading and transporting camping equipment, groceries, or other cargo. Lincoln's chromed exhaust ports tie in with many other design touches and round out the distinctive vehicle.

When a driver approaches the vehicle, the MKC illuminates exterior LED lights in order to welcome occupants. Upon entering the vehicle, interior lights and instrumentation sense your presence and come to life. The MKC will share the innovative push button shift featured in the well-received 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Lincoln offers its SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch™ functionality in order to provide natural voice and touchscreen controls. Inside the cabin intricately sewn French seams connect the soft leather chairs and armrests, coordinating with machined aluminum trim and Argento Recon wood. Anyone who has the pleasure of driving or riding in the new Lincoln MKC will be impressed by its sophisticated interior styling and subtle touches of great design.

The 2014 Lincoln MKC is predicted to launch with a hybrid engine in order to greatly extend fuel economy and lower carbon emissions. It's expected turbocharged 1.6 or 2.0 liter engine will provide enough power to satisfy commuters and driving enthusiasts. It's also assumed the Lincoln will offer the MKC with an all-wheel drive option for greater control in inclement weather or for off road driving.

While the MKC has been camouflaged on the roads, it's not expected to arrive in showrooms until early 2014.
