Where To Hit The Shops In Fuerteventura

We love Fuerteventura for its picturesque beaches, warm weather and vibrant shopping scene. Here are our top picks.

Spain’s Canary Islands are famous for their white sand beaches, comfortable year-round weather and beautiful seaside scenery. Fuerteventura, one of the largest of the islands, checks all these boxes and more – not only does Fuerteventura have lots to offer in terms of beach and water activities, it also boasts a variety of retail destinations, from local markets to massive malls, toting both big brand names and unique regional designs.

As you get ready for your trip, it’s worth noting that with pre-booked airport transfers, Fuerteventura is even more easily accessible. You can even book shuttle services between locations on the island, so you and your shopping bags can go back and forth easily and safely.

To help you best navigate the island’s expanding retail scene, we’ve picked out the best places for shopping trips in Fuerteventura.

Caleta de Fuste (CC Atlantico)

Located near the island’s capital Puerto del Rosario, the Caleta de Fuste area has a lot on offer in terms of shopping. Its CC Atlantico mall may appear small in size, but the exceptional selection of fine jewellery shops and clothing stores make it a worthwhile destination for an afternoon of browsing.

Outside the mall, there are many small souvenir shops and a large Spar supermarket open daily.

Corralejo (El Campanario)

El Campanario lives up to its name ‘the bell tower’, since this site is complete with a bell tower that rings noisily each hour. This is a bustling shopping centre with over 30 stores selling both international brands and local clothing lines, and a popular craft market on Sundays that is always a hit with visitors. With plenty of clothing options for the whole family and a variety of cafés and restaurants, it’s worth taking a whole day to visit and explore El Campanario.

Given that this shopping centre is a little further from the town centre, it might be worth pre-booking shuttle services similar to your airport transfers. Fuerteventura is a large island, after all!

Puerto del Rosario (CC Las Rotondas)

Located in Fuerteventura’s capital, the CC Las Rotondas mall features two levels of clothing stores, a huge supermarket and another floor for the food court, making it the largest shopping centre on the whole island. Closed only on Sundays, this shopping mall features many international brands, including Spanish clothing lines Bershka, Stradivarius and Zara. There’s also a cinema if you’re looking to test how good your Spanish skills really are!

Outside the CC Las Rotondas mall, Puerto del Rosario has some local shops on a pedestrian street, but be aware that many close during lunch hours for siesta and reopen again in the evening.

Before You Go

Before you go, don’t forget to pre-book your affordable airport transfers. Fuerteventurahas a lot on offer, and these transfer services are also available to take you (and your shopping bags) between stores and markets if you choose.

Spain’s Fuerteventura Island has a lot much on offer between its idyllic beachside location, its warm temperatures and its exciting retail scene. Get ready to pack your bags, enjoy the sunshine and shop ‘til you drop on your next trip to the island!
