Since this is a pretty simple project that can be used for a variety of other purposes as well (which I'll list for you later in the post), I wanted to show you how we made it so you can try it for yourself. It's a great way to add some personality to your home without spending a lot of money, and it's far simpler than wallpaper! 

I wanted to create the appearance of butterflies flying over the wall in my daughter's room, as if they were leaving the house that is her bookcase and flying out of the window because she adores butterflies.

This looked to be a lot more affordable way to include her favourite things without making many changes—ideal! (And when she gets older, they can be simply taken off and changed.)
