Food is an important part of life, but when we take it wrong it may become the end of life. That's why good nutrition is a lesson taught everywhere. The difference between what your doctor or the magazine tells and this book is that this book is a complete guide. It is clear to see that the author went to great lengths researching the topic to ensure that the reader gets the best of information. The author takes you through the various benefits of good nutrition and talks about the various issues you may be faced with when you don't have proper nutrition. I learned a lot of things I didn't know from this book and I think a lot of people should too.

Great book!
It is true that we are now living in a very privileged society, and for most of the time, we are just taking advantage of this privilege. The way we live our lives now are very different from the way our ancestors did it years ago, that is why we encounter 100% more diseases nowadays. Most of these diseases are also communicable or epidemic. This book made me realize all the things that I've been doing wrong to my body all these years. The food that I eat; the duration and degree of exercise I do; my likes of salty and sugary foods, they all affect the way my body copes with everyday life. This book did not provide tips and command us to follow some regimen, but it provided decent arguments to justify the need for us to change our eating habits.

Good News; Poor Editing


Some good info, but they really need to do some editing. The book has misspelled words in several chapters. In some cases an ending s is grouped with the following word or things like that. I think that they might have used a speech to text tool and then not double checked the text for errors. But if you can get by that kind of thing, the basic information should be helpful. I particularly appreciated the chapters on how certain food combinations help release the nutrients and when to eat cooked or raw.

Yes, proper nutrition nowadays has been taken for granted by many. We are often satisfied and even found comfort with junk foods. I myself am guilty of that, I resort to fad diets, skip meals and don't even bother to exercise. Now, I want a change of lifestyle. I want to practice what this book teaches to achieve a healthy lifestyle. I am certain that this book can help me resolve my unhealthy weight gain issue without harming my health and well-being. This book is thorough in explaining how important proper nutrition to our body is. I am so motivated with this book.

This book is a perfect guide for healthy living and healthy eating. I am overweight and I really learned a lot of useful information from this book. I learned about the different sources of calories and the perfect sources for weight loss. I also learned the important minerals, vitamins, proteins, and carbohydrates and the best foods to consume them from without gaining more weight.
