Travel Picks: The Top 3 Asian Cities To Visit

Can’t decide where to go in Asia? All you need is some worldwide travel insurance and this article to help you choose.

Asia is a vast continent, filled with a multitude of countries and even more cities – which means choosing exactly where to go can be a nightmare. Luckily, we’ve done the legwork for you and uncovered what we believe are the top three cities in all of Asia. Read the remainder of this article and choose between them for your next holiday hotspot… or, if you can’t decide, invest in some worldwide travel insurance and visit them all.

Tokyo, Japan

Of course Tokyo had to be top of our list. This city is loud and fast paced: bright lights, enormous signs, cars speeding past, subway trains rumbling below, feet pounding the pavement... and that’s not even the half of it. The consumerist capital of Japan is animated and vibrant; it lives and breathes motion and progress.

Yet amid all the modern buzz, there is still history. You won’t have to look far to find monuments, museums and world-class historical sites. If that isn’t your cup of tea, there’s plenty of sushi, shopping and photo opportunities to occupy even the pickiest traveller.

Top Tip: If you visit during cherry blossom season, you can see the gorgeous blooms in a number of parks around the city.

Hong Kong, China

Just as Tokyo is Japan’s best known city, Hong Kong is China’s. This tourist hotspot has a multifaceted culture that is unlike anything you can find in the rest of the country. The cityscape features enormous skyscrapers, and you can easily find museums and world-class cuisine. However, this metropolis also features more nature and fresh air than one might expect. If you’re looking for lush landscapes, rugby fields or sandy beaches, you can find them here in Hong Kong.

Bali, Indonesia

It’s really not very surprising that ‘Bali’ and ‘heaven’ are seen as synonyms. This little Indonesian island is a real-life paradise, complete with sandy shores that stretch down miles of coastline and warm turquoise waters perfect for a swim. Beach bums will be at home here, happily spending lazy days sunbathing, while partygoers can get their groove on in Kuta. History buffs will get their fill here as well – they need only venture to the many temples dotted around. There’s not a soul out there who won’t find something suited to them in Bali.

Before You Go: Invest in Worldwide Travel Insurance

Whether you plan to go to one or all of these cities, it’s never a bad idea to invest in some worldwide travel insurance. That way, you know you’re covered in the case of any and all eventualities, whether it’s learning your luggage has been lost or missing a flight. And, if you decide to extend your holiday to any of the other wonderful cities in Asia, you won’t have to worry about sorting out a new insurance policy.

For you next Asian adventure, Tokyo, Hong Kong or Bali (or all three!) should definitely be top of your list.
