The Mid-Autumn Festival – 13th September

London is such a vibrant, international city and this mid-autumn Chinese festival, held in the Auditorium at Spitalfields is a real showcase of that. Head down for a piece of mooncake and much more!

The Welcome Party - 29th September

The clue is in the name with this event, which gives you a fantastic opportunity to get to know your new friends a bit better. Enjoy some food, drink and plenty of socialising in honour of the new academic year ahead. It’s held in Spitalfields in the 32nd Floor Bar at 7.30pm.

Lunch and Games - 29th September

A great way to spend the afternoon before you head to the welcome party, this event offers you the chance to play a few games and activities and indulge in a delicious lunch. It’s held in the Auditorium and the activities begin at midday.                       

Karaoke Session – 11th October

Who doesn’t love having a good laugh and singalong at a karaoke event? Free drinks are on offer here too, so there really is no excuse to miss this one. It’s held in the Karaoke Rooms.

Pumpkin Carving and Halloween Party – 31st October

Get involved with the Halloween tradition, get dressed up in the scariest costume you can find and enjoy the fun of carving a pumpkin at this fabulous event. This one is held in the Auditorium and Cinema Room.

Christmas Week

In the run up to the festive holidays, you can look forward to a whole week of Christmas cheer. In the Reception and Auditorium there will be treats galore, so make sure you head down and take a look.

The number of events on offer for students with a Chapter card is beyond the scope of this article, but rest assured that there is something for everyone when it comes to parties, trips, festivals and clubs. From pizza evenings, afternoon tea occasions, food festivals and coffee mornings, to art trips, Bollywood nights and more, make sure you grab a leaflet from reception so you don’t miss out. There’s need to sit home alone in your student accommodation; London life for students can be truly exciting and social.
