First introduced on the 2011 Ford Explorer, Curve Control is a system developed exclusively by the Ford engineers. Curve Control detects when the F-150 is entering a corner too fast and responds by automatically applying the four-wheel braking system, reducing vehicle speed up to 10 mph in roughly 1 second, while simultaneously reducing torque.

Active Park Assist employs two ultrasonic sensors in conjunction with Ford's electronic power-assisted steering in helping with parallel parking. The sensors measure the distance between two parked vehicles to determine if there’s enough room to park the F-150. Once the sensors determine the F-150 can fit, the truck automatically steers itself into the space while the driver controls the speed with the brake and accelerator.

The sensors will trigger a warning light located in the side-view mirrors if another vehicle moves into the driver’s blind spot when the driver attempts to change lanes. The sensors are also able to detect if another car is approaching when the driver is backing out of a parking spot.

A Lane-Keeping System is one more selection worthy of taking from the 2015 Ford F-150 options list. Lane-keeping prevents the truck from straying outside of the driving lane with the help of a video camera mounted in back of the rear-view mirror that automatically detects lane pavement markings. Additionally, if the driver does not react to vibrations in the steering wheel the system automatically supplies steering torque to help safely guide the truck back into the driving lane, if needed.
