Exciting New Features on the 2015 F-150

Ford is taking innovation to a whole new level with the new 2015 Ford F-150 truck. New features like new cargo ramps, LED lights, and innovative tie-downs are innovative addition to the Ford F-150 legacy. For hauling motorcycles and other recreational equipment, there are integrated ramps that stow in the bed of the truck and are mounted on the tailgate for loading and unloading. The ramps adjust to accommodate different loading positions and when you are done they easily store on the sides of the bed with the new BoxLink system. The BoxLink cargo management system allows for the pickup bed to be customized, with extra places for tie-downs and lockable tie-down cleats. This is an all new system for pickup beds that helps improve flexibility while hauling practically any cargo. The BoxLink brackets and cleats are mounted half-way down the bed sides to make them easier to use and store flat when not in use. There are four BoxLink cleats in addition to the standard four tie-downs carried over from years of Ford F-150 truck bed utility design. Horizontally the cleats can withstand a load of 275 pounds, while diagonally they can withstand 600 pounds.

The pickup bed also now features LED box lights for using your truck at night or when you have a cargo cover on. With a button mounted to the bed itself, as well as in the cab for when needed, you can easily turn the bed lights on and off. So no more using your phone as an awkward flashlight after you've been fishing into the night!

The 2015 Ford F-150 truck bed also features remote tailgate release allowing for easy loading with the push of a button on the key fob when your hands are full. The tailgate will release with a dampener and drop to a level position smoothly and hands-free. Some other trucks feature a hands-free dropping tailgate but this one doesn't slam down and scare the neighbors. Power-locking on the tailgate adds more security than a standard tailgate would have, especially when added to a cargo cover. Included inside the tail-gate, is an all-new step that is integrated to where it is nearly invisible when not in use. Pulling down the step is easy and the assist handle will not get covered in mud when it's stowed up on the side of the bed.
