The new aluminum frame of the F-150 is definitively lighter in comparison to other pickup vehicles on the market but considerably stronger and more durable than its counterparts. The new lighter frame also allows Ford to implement smaller, fuel efficient engines into the body of the vehicle. Ford is also offering a newly rendered turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 to the lineup of engines available upon release of the vehicle.
