The 2014 Honda Ridgeline Special Edition Model (SE) will be available in showrooms for purchase beginning in November 2013. While it may be a strong, durable pickup truck, it is a comfortable vehicle that gives you a peace of mind to drive every day and anywhere.

Originally introduced in 2006, the Honda Ridgeline has not differed all that much, aside from a few revisions within the past few years. This 2014 model comes with new features which are appealing to the eye such as interior changes that include seats that are trimmed in black in addition to the badging which displays ”Special Edition” on the back tailgate.

There are many types of vehicles in the spirited smaller truck category which are available in the marketplace. The Honda Ridgeline in particular has provided Honda with some admirable sales for its 2013 year model. Honda’s primary selling focus for its Ridgeline model is its flexibility in that they designed this truck using standards that are found and appreciated in comfortable everyday passenger vehicles but has the durability of a pickup truck. A unibody comprises its chassis instead of the traditional body on the frame construction which enhances the mechanical durability. Due to its sole suspensions in the back and front, the Ridgeline operates similar to an everyday vehicle rather than a pickup truck however it still can provide the heavy duty services that you use a truck for.

The Ridgeline might not be as sturdy as far as handling all heavy lifting jobs in which a standard pickup accomplishes, but it is an efficient truck. The bed on this truck can capably hold up to 1,100 pounds and tow up to 5,000 pounds. What gives the Ridgeline its power is its 3.5 liter, 250 horsepower V6 engine with diverse valve technique to enhance torque produced at low-rpm. Together with the unique manufactured shift pattern and torque path, the Ridgeline is a respectable lightweight and comfortable, yet heavy duty truck which can tow big loads which is efficient. The 2014 Ridgeline is Environment Protection Agency (EPA) rated at 15 miles per gallon (mpg) for city driving and 21 mpg for highway use.

The Ridgeline has a price tag of $29,575 and comes with a camera to provide a rear view (this is a standard for this model). This four-door pickup also provides more comfortable interior features such a steering wheel which is comprised of leather, in addition this wheel also gives the owner audio control. The Special Edition (SE) model has a price of $37,505. Slightly more pricy than the standard, this model provides keyless entry, a folding back seat which splits, air conditioning and side airbags. More goodies that are included are distinctive 18 inch alloy wheels and back painted highlights on the rear tailgate. For the SE standard model, you receive a Bluetooth, satellite navigation and XM satellite radio with the new voice recognition feature. The SE is available in colors of Crystal Black, Alabaster Silver or Taffeta White paint combinations for its exterior which offers a black cabin space. Extra features you can choose for your SE are fog lights, moon roof with power capability, and a monitor system that checks the tire pressure, side mirrors which can heat up if you need, as well as front seats which can be heated and floor carpeted mats.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has rated this vehicle highly in terms of its comfort and safety features.
